Neoliberalism

When I look at the human world, it seems to me that neoliberalism is a general attitude or ethos. It is not necessarily bound by any set of specific principles and ideologies. It is instead a complex system of networks interconnecting with each other in order to maintain political, economic, social and cultural power structures.
The neoliberal world order is a system of exploitation, which has developed through the centuries and forms an integral part of human civilization. It seems to me that this exploitative system of power relations is not only harmful for the vast majority of humans on our planet but also inevitably leads to violence, conflict and war.
The neoliberal mentality has become so common that it is to a large extent 'built into' the human psyche, which makes it difficult for us either to see or even mention what seems obvious: namely, that we live in an exploitative society. It obscures our vision and distorts our way of thinking.
Under neoliberalism, the vast majority of people are forced to be dependent on large corporations and banks. This gives them a sense of powerlessness over their lives, which in turn makes them conformist and obedient. It is imperative for these corporations and banks that humans remain complacent.
As a result, neoliberalism shapes the human world in all aspects: political, economic and social. It is greatly responsible for the current ecological crisis as well.
It may seem as though we have a great degree of freedom in the neoliberal world. In reality, however, we are living according to various rules and norms imposed on us by powerful institutions: states, corporations and banks. The system is designed in such way that it forces us to behave in certain ways.
