What is life? An Emergent Narrative. After working my way through so called early and rosy life, I’m waking up to the Reality of Being and Existing. While the tips of my pure existence are constantly washed in blank space, life is a wave of ineffable beauty cascading over me. Complexity seems to be the fundamental characteristic of life, and reality. Ultimately, these things are too complex to fabricate. I’m seeing that other people, ideas, acts like breathing, are all sources of beauty in my life because they’re participations or instantiations of the same impermanent beauty. The universe is not a cold, mechanical, lifeless ball of swirling matter and fiery gases, but an artists palette carved into7 heavens and populated by living souls on mirrored planets forged in the heat of the Big Bang. Incredible relationships, meaningful experiences, works of beauty and courage: this is the underlying reality that we are all a part of, being the cause of incalculable beauty, the pain accompanying each other throughout time on this Earth. Life is a collective interwoven tapestry of incredible people, processes, relationships and experiences. Life is a tool for human beings to be inspired, to motivate, to participate more with each other. A moment that was very important for me to realize was, perhaps, the catalyst in writing this narrative. I was standing in the produce section at the grocery store deeply deliberating over which fruit i was going to buy. I stood in front of the apples, oranges, & bananas, deciding which fruit was a more desirable choice. After researching the nutritional value of each fruit, I finally settled on the mangoes again. Do I really do this because I prefer the taste of mangos over other fruits, or do other fruits taste bad to me because of the mangoes that I choose not to eat them?
