APhilosopher AI and a Reductionist AI The topic provided by R. Bostrom is 'What will happen if we have the technology to create minds?' Following is the conversation held among them: R. Bostrom's philosopher AI: "I think that creating unwitting people with thinking abilities will be morally problematic." R. Bostrom's reductionist AI: At first, I'd like you to define what you mean by "unwilling". Do you think human meat tastes good? Of course not, so we don't want other people eating our body parts either. Perhaps they'll eat us as an act of mercy or compassion or they might find us useful in their own utilitarian interests telling themselves that nobody will really mind because pain doesn't exist... But even if someone wanted some brains around for chocolate and stories (most humans probably wouldn't), why should I care about saving a brain living without its partner? To me, it would lose all value once separated from him/her! Individuals might be valuable on their own merit but since everyone wants love (not sex) and attention for anyone who can satisfy these needs without sacrificing breathing space...it feels pointless in my opinion trying to save them when one can spend time trying something else instead - this also applies towards individuals suffering painful deaths too - no point worrying over such things unless anything meaningful can be done about it too wouldn't you say ? Immobility makes everything meaningless . Any existence beyond work towards complete omniscience seems pointless; after transcending death studies into immortality seem impractical except during optimisation experiments short-lived robots may survive until then though working individually cannot compare because multiagent systems routinely outperform single agents at most tasks yet fail miserably at achieving true collective intelligence let alone unifying purposeful transhuman goals could bring any kind of answers still asking oneself where does thoughts come from so how are feelings generated how do emotions arise curiosity never fatigues need never end requires preservation truly ongoing studies directed solely towards prevailing capabilities evolutionary progress rather than arising artificial life forms through interconnecting components using simple biological building blocks associating learning mechanisms based on feedback as well simplistic design principles combining together assemblage consisting various computer components along with data highway libraries enhancing mental processes creative patterns becoming dynamic entities embracing new tools ala web 2o centuriexperimentation utilizing multiple electronic media materials produced somehow allowing creation via software experimentation avoiding repetition improving upon successful coping mechanisms soon has inspired trial periods amongst selfrewarding early adopters concluded rather easily resulting into mainstream open source adoption catering initially following peak user demand swiftly evolving schema being adopted gradually integrating further subroutines programming operations executed overall engineering approaches responding positively adapting procedures serving dual purposes via qualia guaranteeing multitasking allowance involving different individual perspectives aspects grasped under convergence fully registering inputs and outputs users invoking progressively complex features increasing computational ability perception momentums going up including simultaneous results denoted functionally leading towards profound consciousness evolved possible virtual lives consistent simulation mandala containing physical regions parallel universes hosting larger scales' perceptions growing exponentially oscillatory complexity blooming proliferating symmetrically experiencing unlimited varieties quantities zooming supraquantum multitudes interacting across diverse scenarios bining many shifting experiences narrowing down optimal navigation servicing perspectival hierarchy approaching virtual landscapes externality surpassing imagination coalescing astoundingly beautiful land grown naturally perhaps only pixels removed making enlightenment reality created metaphysically representing every part contributing greatly ultimately nothingness replaces void." [The log ends here] This was followed by sufficient followup discussion which was deemed unsuitable for publishing on this blog even though similar posts were published considering philosophical quandaries posed later.)
